Simple porch extension to compliment the new SIPS extension.

The Project Brief:
Following Construction of a three storey extension SIPS EcoBuild were tasked with constructing a new porch structure in 125mm SIPS wall panels with a 150mm roof panel. Challenging ourselves, two men set out at 8am, commencing work on a simple pre-prepared concrete slab.
Temporarily, the only access to the house was through the front door so it was important that the porch was erected quickly.
Our video shows the simple progress including a very happy client refitting his house number at 2pm; a very successful day’s work, I’m sure you will agree.

A SIPS Solution:
Simple detailing using 125mm SIPS panels for the wall and a 150mm roof bolted to the existing brick wall.
The weather proof, breathable membrane has been left over the openings until the windows and cladding are fitted later.
