SIPS EcoBuild Ltd Higly Commended for the ’Innovation’ Award at this year’s Yorkshire & Humber Construction Best Practice Awards.

SIPS EcoBuild Ltd has received a ‘Highly Commended’ in the ’Innovation’ category at this year’s Yorkshire & Humber Construction Best Practice Awards. The award was presented for its high performance SIPS building system which provided an effective, fast and easy solution at the Holmfirth Vineyard Visitor Centre.

The Innovation Award is about getting away from the idea that we should continue to do what we have always done, because we feel comfortable with it. It is about developing new solutions to the problems we encounter, achieving an innovative solution which enhances the value of the finished product, without increasing the risks associated with it. It will highlight innovation in finding technical or environmental solutions and overcoming problems within a project or process.

The ‘Innovation’ award was won by East Riding County Council for a school in Hull; also built from SIPS panels! SIPS EcoBuild were jointly highly commended with The Green Building Store from Huddersfield for the Passiv Haus they built in Denby Dale.
