The information sheet covers:
In traditional buildings, the u-values have to accommodate an amount of ‘cold bridging’, where heat is lost through materials that span the continuous layer of insulation. Our SIPs do not require regular studwork, and therefore benefit from less cold bridging. This produces excellent thermal efficiencies that are measured in our data. Where timber is used as a support or is essential for structural integrity, the U-values then a small amount of cold-bridging is unavoidable.
All of our panels are rigorously fire tested. The insulation layer in the centre of the panels is non-toxic and chemically inert. Normally a fire rating of zero is achieved if two layers of plasterboard are attached to the structure. If one layer of plasterboard is used, with fire taped joints and dry lining, a rating of Class 1 is achieved.
