Benefits of SIPSFAQsDownloads and ResourcesCase Studies
The grace and charm of an ancient barn is left uncompromised when a SIPS is used. A simple floor slab can accommodate ‘external’ wall panels built inside the existing outer walls. These SIPs wall panels then support a new first floor and a SIPS roof panel structure. Door and window openings can be cut out post erection.
Where planning permission or heritage conditions could be an issue, the use of a SIP skin internally, tied into a frame or other structural system, can speed up and increase the performance of any building restoration. The SIPS is particularly suitable for awkward access locations or where a frontage may have twisted or settled.
A SIPS is a fantastic, new and efficient way to approach a barn conversion or heritage restoration project.
